Our website contains links to external third-party websites over whose content we have no influence. The respective provider or operator is always responsible for the content of linked pages. Linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking. Illegal content was not recognizable at that time. Summary
We take your privacy seriously. This website uses cookies and local browser storage to ensure the functionality of our online shop. Payments are securely processed via Stripe. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Your data is collected and processed solely for the purpose of fulfilling orders, communicating with you, and complying with legal obligations. You have full control over your personal data and can request access, correction, or deletion at any time.
1. Cookies and Browser Storage
To operate our shop, we use essential cookies and local browser storage. This includes storing your shopping cart, so that selected products remain saved until you either clear your browser or the storage manually. This storage is technically necessary to fulfill our contract with you during the purchase process.
For payment processing, we use Stripe Inc., USA. Stripe may set its own cookies to prevent fraud, secure transactions, and comply with payment regulations. Examples include __stripe_mid (valid for 1 year) and __stripe_sid (valid for 30 minutes). Stripe's processing complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
2. Data We Collect and Process
When you make a purchase, we collect and store the following information:
• Contact information: Name, email, and optionally company name
• Billing address: Street, house number, ZIP code, city, country
• Tax information: VAT-ID (optional, for EU B2B customers)
• Order details: Purchased fonts, license size, prices
• Payment information: Only processed by Stripe; we never see your full card details
Additionally, our server automatically logs IP address (anonymized after 7 days), browser type, access time, and visited pages for security purposes. Server logs are retained for 30 days, and IP addresses are anonymized after 7 days.
All shop-related data is stored on servers in Germany (ALL-INKL.COM, Hauptstraße 68, D-02742 Friedersdorf). Stripe processes payment information on our behalf according to their privacy policy.
3. Data Protection and Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
• HTTPS encryption for all connections
• Secure server infrastructure
• Regular security updates
• Access control and authentication
• No storage of payment card details by us (handled entirely by Stripe)
International transfers, such as to Stripe in the USA, are protected by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Your Rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
• Access your data and request a copy
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion (subject to legal retention periods)
• Receive your data in a structured format (data portability)

5. Data Retention
• Order information, invoices, customer data: 10 years (German tax law §147 AO)
• Shopping cart (localStorage): Until manually cleared by user
• Server logs: 30 days (IP anonymized after 7 days)
• Email correspondence: 3 years after last contact
6. Managing Cookies
You can manage or clear your shopping cart by deleting the cart entry in your browser's local storage or clearing your browser data. Blocking cookies entirely may prevent the shop from functioning correctly.
7. Stripe Payment Processing
All payments are handled by Stripe Inc. on secure checkout pages. We do not store your full card details. Stripe may use cookies for fraud prevention and transaction security. More information:

1. Scope and General Information
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts between dIFFERENT mEANINGS (seller) and customers (buyer) for the purchase of digital font licenses via www.different-meanings.com.

2. Conclusion of Contract
Product presentation on our website is an invitation to place an order, not a binding offer.
Order process:
• Select fonts and add to cart
• Choose license size
• Provide contact and billing information
• Review order details
• Accept End User License Agreement (EULA)
• Click "Proceed to Payment"
• Complete payment through Stripe
Contract is concluded when payment is completed and you receive order confirmation with download link via email.
3. Prices and Payment
All prices in Euro (EUR) ex. VAT according to §19 of the German VAT Act (UStG).
License sizes:
• XS: 1 person / Base price
• S: 2-5 persons / Base price × 1.5
• M: 6-10 persons / Base price × 2
• L: 11-20 persons / Base price × 3
Bundle discounts:
• Upright + Italic 20%
• Upright + Mono: 20%
• Upright + Italic + Mono: 25%
Payment methods: Credit card, PayPal (via Stripe)
Payment due: Immediately
4. Delivery
Fonts delivered digitally via download link sent to your email after payment. Download link valid for 30 days with up to 5 downloads. After expiration, contact us for new link.
File formats: OTF, TTF, WOFF, WOFF2
System requirements:
• Windows 7 or later
• macOS 10.12 or later
• Modern web browsers (for web fonts)
5. License Terms
Use of fonts governed by our End User License Agreement (EULA), available at: dm-eula.pdf
License issued to:
• Self-purchase: You (the buyer)
• Client purchase: Your client (specified License Holder)
License permits number of users in chosen size. Company growth beyond limit requires upgrade.
6. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
By accepting terms before purchase, you expressly agree we begin delivering digital content immediately after payment. You acknowledge losing withdrawal right for digital content (§ 356 para. 5 BGB / Art. 16 lit. m Consumer Rights Directive).
Withdrawal right expires when entrepreneur begins execution after consumer has:
• Expressly agreed execution begins before withdrawal period ends
• Confirmed knowledge of losing withdrawal right

7. Warranty and Defects
We warrant fonts:
• Function as described
• Are free from material defects
• Comply with legal requirements
Defect notification: Immediately to mail@different-meanings.com with description, screenshots, system info.
Remedies:
• Corrected font version provided
• If correction impossible: Price reduction or withdrawal
Warranty period: 2 years from delivery (§ 438 BGB for consumers, § 477 BGB for entrepreneurs)
8. Liability
Unlimited liability for:
• Intent and gross negligence
• Injury to life, body, or health
• Product Liability Act claims
• Breach of essential contractual obligations
Limited liability for slight negligence to foreseeable, contract-typical damage and breach of essential obligations.
No liability for data loss if appropriate backups not made.
9. Copyright and Intellectual Property
All fonts remain intellectual property of dIFFERENT mEANINGS / Tobias Hönow. You acquire usage license only, not ownership.
You may not:
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble
• Modify or create derivatives without permission
• Redistribute, sell, or sublicense
• Remove or alter copyright notices
10. Data Protection
Personal data processing governed by our Privacy Policy (see middle column).
11. Alternative Dispute Resolution

We are not obligated or willing to participate in consumer arbitration proceedings.
12. Final Provisions
Applicable law: Federal Republic of Germany, excluding UN CISG. For consumers: Choice of law does not deprive protection of mandatory provisions in country of residence.
Place of jurisdiction: Stuttgart, Germany (for merchants, legal entities under public law)
Severability: Invalid provisions do not affect remaining provisions.
Changes: We reserve right to change GTC. Changes communicated in advance, apply to future contracts only.
